Community Guidelines

Purpose

These guidelines govern comments and collections on virust. They exist to keep the Service useful, accurate, and safe for everyone.

Comments

When posting comments, you agree to:

• Keep comments relevant to the file, URL, domain, or IP being discussed
• Share factual information: detection names, behavior notes, context
• Use respectful language — no harassment, slurs, or personal attacks
• Not post spam, advertisements, or off-topic content
• Not post instructions for creating malware or evading detection

Collections

Collections are for grouping related indicators of compromise (IOCs). When creating collections:

• Use descriptive names that reflect the content
• Only add items you have a legitimate reason to group
• Do not use collections to promote or distribute malicious content

Prohibited Conduct

The following may result in account suspension or removal:

• Posting comments that distribute malware or phishing links
• Using the Service to coordinate attacks or share victim data
• Attempting to impersonate other users or organizations
• Scraping or bulk-downloading data from the Service
• Interfering with the operation of the Service

Enforcement

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend accounts that violate these guidelines. If you see content that violates these guidelines, report it by opening an issue on the project repository.

Changes

We may update these guidelines at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
